I am thinking of taking the long route to ranger, but am wondering a few things. First, is master ranger worth the extra mile. I am thinking yes, just for the rest of the Battle armor mitigation. ANd is BH a good compliment to it. I am currently a BH/Mcarbs. SO I will be losing one or the other. ANd I like the defenses Bh gives. SO I am leaning towards that. Also will this gimp me any for Fighting, cause the only specials I really use as a carbineer is advanced rapid fire.

I am a MR/MBH/some carbs template at the moment. Bunch of FS boxes (11) too.

If soloing Ancient Krayts, Gorax, rancors and anything that walks, crawls or flys is any indication of fighting ability, then yes, it is a good combination.

In PvP I think I would suck. Lack of specials particularly. But then again, any moron can PvP, it's more fun to solo the big stuff. And you don't have to share the loot.

I am a master ranger/ mbh/ sl 0300

when the leader of a group, i can cause the group to volley fire, which adds dmg/ acc buff to the group. I can steady aim... adding another acc buff for the group.

+40 melee +40 ranged defense, which doesnt hurt.

I have no FS boxes anymore, just gave them up. like JB, i can solo pretty much any creature with good preparation. (NPC's) not as much... but i dont do to badly there.

The only thing i cant do is cut a swath of destruction through multiple critter attacks. If more than 3 hit me, im pretty much burstrunning out of there.

its a good template, you will suck at pvp, but with tactics, you will do very well in pve.

Master Rifles is a very symbiotic choice for Ranger...

great damage, great range, combined with trapping, you wont get hit much... if you do, the defenses of MRifles may leave you burstrunning.

each option is a very good profession to complement ranger, its all about your playstyle and what kind of weapons you like to use.

I personally like using rifles... then trap... then my carbine... then trap... then pistols and by that time, theyre dead.

tactics and style will dictate your perfect match...

hmm...where do all the skillpoints come from? MR/MBH + some carbines? Was I bugged or something when I was MR/Mrifles and had like 1 skillpoint left?

MBH takes one line from the marksman tree... other weapons, carbineer/ rifleman/ pistoleer take 2 lines.. the BH also takes the exploration line from scout, but sinice we already have that for ranger... might as well put it to good use and put other points elsewhere.

What accuracy/defense does having only MBH add up to?

To add icing to the cake, Bh gives you Duelist stance. Which is great.

In teh end I will make a random last minute call. I have banked up combat pistol and carbine xp. So if I hate Mrifles MR I can switch back to master bounty hunter easily. Kinda a sorta respec thingy, lol.

What weapons do use with this template, Drak? And what's your speed mod with those weapons? This template is looking more and more attractive to me.

So I talked to a ranger or two in game. Both said that they respeced from MRifles to MBH, to try it out, along with Mpistols and Mcarbs, and of them all like MBH the best.

Everybody remeber bh is good for sp usage and defense. however the defense is good for 1 on 1 as it is designed for pvp against jedi but as soon as more than a couple of creatures attack u will be out for the count before u manage to hit burst run. i enjoyed the bh side but got tired of fighting something with one eye on his friends incase they joined in.
