What level do I have to have in camping to use High Tech Base Camps if they're made by someone else? Is there a way to tell by examining camps to see how much skill I need in camping in order to make them?

Thanks for any help on this.

You need Frontiering III, the level directly below the one in which you receive the camp schematic.

  • In general, that is how all the camps work.

For instance, a Master Scout can deploy a High Quality Camp Kit if someone else craftsit for them.

Greetings,

Actually, anyone with Survival IV can use a High Quality Camp Kit - I bought a bag of um’ them on the Bazaar (on the server where I’m a Doctor) because I wanted the pouch, and had to find a home for them. Rather than simply delete them like any normal person, I set out on a quest to find someone who wanted 19 individual camp kits that didn’t come in a bag! It came as a rather shocking surprise when my Squad Leader friend piped up that he would take a few, since he could use them. Sure enough, I handed over the mini tents, and a few seconds later I was standing next to the real thing.

I know the big camps get all the owwhs and ahhhs (how do I know? I’m one of the idiots owwhing and ahhhing along with the rest!) - do you think if you could Experiment on camps to lower their usage, there would be a market? Would someone pay to be able to use an Improved Camp Kit at Novice? I know I would, but that doesn’t mean anything, hehe :-p
