This is a two part question realy.

First, could anyone guide me to a good beastiary online? I foolishly went out and bought the gameguide when it came out and now it is useless. Most of the sites I have waded thru online seem to have gotten most of their info from that same gameguide. I am looking for something that might help me find what animals are best to hunt on what planets in order to harvest the best resources to sell.

Which leads me to part two. I have realy no idea how to price my resources. I have only recently begun harvesting to sell on the bazaar. I have always used what I harvest for the most part, or sold them for prolly far too little to get rid of them and make room in my inventory. I want to seriously focus on harvesting and selling the spoils as a means to make my money. I am looking for some kind of formula I can use to determine the quality of my resources so I can properly price them.

Darn it, I wish there was an edit button, I just re-read my subject line and realize lots of people will come here looking for some Beastiary and resource guide that I put together. Sorry about that.

For a beastiary try www.swgcreatures.com. The site lets us update it so it can stay current. It (and all others) will need massive updates with this next patch though, so be forwarned.

I would like to know going rates of hides / bones / and meats

I just came across www.swgcreatures.com and it is a good site. You can do a search per planet and see what animals, if any, have a specific type of resources. As far as what animals to hunt for the good stuff, that depends. The resource shifts keep us on our toes as far as where the good stuff is. The task is traveling to different planets, killing something that has a demanding resource and checking the stats.

On Bria we have a ranger group, where we specifically hunt for requested resources in mass. We organize hunts to go kill a certain animal on a planet for the high quality resources. We will get anyware from 20k to 100k units for it.

We have been charging somewhere from 15-30cpu, depending on its quality and stats, the creature that needs to be killed for it, and the planet, and whether or not you can get missions for the creature. Recently we are going to change out pricing like this. 1cpu per 100 of stat. so if for example the resource has all5 stats at 500, that would be 25cpu. I think mainly the hides have 3 stats that are looked at by AS,and the meats have 3, OQ, PE and Flavor. So if a meat has 800OQ 700 PE and 900 Flavor, that would be 24 cpu, or round up to 25cpu. This was suggested by a customer of ours, of how he offered to pay us for what he wanted. We liked it and are going to price that way now. With of the course the caveat that we can adjust it.

Hey Teranus....my turn to add my 1 1/2 cents

Usually RoB collects a TON of harvested resources at a whack. This definitely effects pricing. I know I can definitely get paid more CPU by going on a RoB hunt then by doing things on my own. RoB I believe also has a good group of established customers because of the quantities it delivers. If you can get large quantities, you can set higher CPU rates.

So...when I am doing somethings on my own, I use the following sytem. It is the best one I have come across so far (which may not be saying much).
