Just started on the Ranger tree. Are there truly any "rare" items that are able to be foraged as mentioned in the description of Frontiering 1 (I think?)

Master Pistoleer/ Master Smuggler-Scylla
Master CH/ Master Rifleman/ FS Fool-Bria
Master Brawler/Master Swordsman/Formerly Master Bad@ss-Tempest
Novice Swordsman/Novice Commando- Eclipse

Sadly, Rares foraging is currently malfunctioning...

  • As far as I know, no one has ever received anything that would be considered rare.

You know what would be nice!!! Is forging and finding a Holo cube! I wonder if that would make ranger more appealing to some of these players?

ugh. just what we need. People joining our class for all the wrong reasons. I agree that it'd be cool and it'd obviously be rediculously rare, but then instead of holo-campers, you'd get people holo-foraging and macro-foraging. It'd get really sad. Plus, I kinda like being a smaller group of tight knit people. It's like the family i never had. wait. I had a family, I just didn't like them. It's like the family i should have had.

once again, TC needs Rangers. I swear, TC won't bite you. hard.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Hmm, I don't agree. We should have foraging where it is. Finding buried holos are a cool idea, but too easy. Aren't Flurr-cle onions enough?

Foraging milk doesn't make a lot of sense to me. However I do think Rangers ought to be the ones to provide the world with too currently too hard to get resources, Milk and Fish.

I think we should get the Milking skill, which would allow you to milk any available Female herbivore. Make it kinda like taming in that you may not always get milk from them and some times they may get pissed at you for trying to milk you and attack.

As for fish I've always liked the idea of the nets that act kinda like harvesters that we make and have to take care of an in exchange can get fish in a useful quantity.

Those are my Ranger Resource wishes

That would be hilarious.

Okay, i've never succeeded in fishing. Never one fish caught. Now, what is fish meat useful for? Chefs?

It is used in Pet Stimpack D in the Bio Engineer profession.

Thgilsrooc,rRead Volsted's powerguide to fishing...and follow it to the letter. I swear you'll have more fish than you know what to do with in no time. And no...you do NOT need a 97% effective fishing pole...anything over 40% seems to work equallywell.

I think the milking skill is a GREAT idea! How many times I've thought to myself as I ran past a domesticated eopie..."I wonder if they milk those creatures?" So is the fish trapping/netting idea.Being able to do that would be absolutely great!

I am not gonna be a freaking milkmaid - I know where to find milk, no I ain't telling, and yes, I sell it for about 1k a unit. Milking female herbies, are y'all outta your freaking minds???

Rangers milking herbies, someone has to be smoking some serious stuff to come up with that idea !!!

JB

no, I was not amused. Good thing I don't have to be good for a few days yet.
