"How much ranger trapping do u need to succesfully trap a krayt most the time?"

Hmmm...

Considering a Master Ranger has trouble even successfully landing a trap, I would suspect that at least +200 trapping skill would be needed to hit a Krayt "most of the time".

But I like Venom1656's answer too.

Can't help myself.. but since the "traps" have virtually no effect on a Krayt when you do "trap" them.. I would say "trapping a Krayt" is impossible.

I don't think I have ever seen enough Master Rangers in one place to have enough trapping ability combined to land traps "most of the time". About never is the norm for any Master Ranger when dealing with a Krayt.

I have hit a canyon krayt with adhesive mesh but its effects are over just as it hits, but it did give me 2k trapping xp. No trap I have used has ever had any lasting effect on them so I don't even try anymore.

I have hitKrayt's with traps and the only success was the adhesive mesh trap each time as well.

nada

dont happen

tried stacks of traps none worked

i guess the trap that worked was me and my reb buddies trying to kill the kryat and then getting smacked and a bunch of imps with atst pulled out come over the hill and laid waste to them all. so i recon i was the trap and i worked but got no xps and no loot.

I know I have stuck a trap on a Krayt. I can't speak for the frequency, because after seeing how it really, for all intents and purposes, has no effect on the Krayt... and you have to get within 50m to toss one... I quit doing it, so I wouldnt say I have enough statistics to give a real hit/miss ratio. But I know I hit them for some big XP when it did land.

All of this would have been PRE-patch Krayt's if that would make a diff. A Giant Dune Kimo is probably fairly close to what a PRE-path Krayt was. As an experiment, go to Kimo Town on Lok, get the big fella lured into town and you should be able to toss traps all day without fear of getting killed from behind one of the buildings. That would be a good test I suppose.

Traps never seem to effect high level creatures at all and regardless of skill level, so must agree with never.

master ranger throwing phenacine (amazing quality) at regular krayt, lands 1/20th of the time.

I tested it one day while everyone else was firing. He didn't move any slower, but I think the smoke made him slightly teary eyed.
