I'm currently a BH who will be switching to Ranger, and as I was hunting a mark on Yavin4 the other day, I heard someone mention they loved this planet because the drive by maskscent was awesome for xp. As I was hunting my mark, i noticed there were a lot of agro creatures all over and was wondering how successful this was? Is it worth the time to gain scouting xp or is killing creatures more effective (i.e. on dant/dath). This is just a time question, i realize you don't get any resources doing the maskscent way, but leave that out for now.

I have heard this from others myself. I quit getting XP shortly before vehicles so I have never been able to test it.. but I CAN say that I find my maskscent BREAKS far more frequently at high speeds than when on foot. I would think a better method would be to go someplace like the squill or beetle caves on Tat or the torton cave on Rori and just walk around. Even better if you can camo some friends.

The Scout correspondent has put forth a request to the Devs that they disable scenting XP while riding a speeder or bike. Most of the Scouts agree it's too easy to abuse.
