Ranger Archive

I'm curious about just how much of an increase a master ranger gains when harvesting, vs for comparison sake, a novice scout. The reason I ask is simply a Master Ranger, or even just a ranger with the Tracking line, seems like a big investment in skill points. In comparison to a novice scout, who has spent his skill points in more combat oriented skills, in order to kill faster. Am I making sense? If anyone has any experiences with regards to hunting with others and actually noting the amounts harvested.
