Hey,
I was originally going to create a sort of Fishing Lodge in my city. It would kind of look like a bar type place, with fish on the walls, a vendor with fishing supplies, and whatnot.
Then I got to thinking, why don't i just make it an Outdoorsman's shop instead.
So here is my plan, i want a vendor with factory crates of Camp Kits (all different types) Traps (all different types) Fishing gear (rods and bait) clothing (from my Tailor friend) Cammo Kits, and anything else that i think a scout/ranger would need.
here is my problem though. i can't figure out how to make factory runs of traps and other supplies. if i sit at a private crafting station in my city hall, and crafta trap, it does not give me the choice to create a Factory Schematic. (i am using a Generic Tool, and sitting infront of a Food and Chemical Crafting station).
so what should i do?
Do i need to use a public station?
do i need to use a different crafting tool?
do i need to be infront of a different crafting station?
once i have the schematic, which type of factory do i use to run the Crates?

You need to use a Weapon/Droid crafting tool instead of the generic tool. These will give you the option to make a schematic if you're near a crafting station or crafting droid.

Along with the weapon/droid crafting tool, you also need to be in front a weapon/droid crafting station.

so then i am going to assume that it is safe to say that i need a weapon/droid factory to craft crates of items then.

Technically it's an equipment factory, but yeah, the one you use to make weapons and droids

thanks guys, i got the crafting tool last night, and already have 43% crafting stations in city hall, so i am all set. just need to get a factory, and some power and i'll be all set.
by the way, i noticed i cannot experiment with traps, is that how it should be? or did i do something wrong?

The only thing Rangers can experiment on is Camokits (amount of uses). Traps and camps can not be experimented on and will take the most lousy resources without effecting the outcome)

Is that how it should be ? arguably - no it's not
Did you do something wrong - also no ![]()
I don't believe it is possible to experiment on traps, but I believe it ought to be possible - by using the best resources and experimentation, one ought to be able to make a better (mouse)trap ....but then we'd have to have experimentation bonuses in the ranger tree and it would all get too complicated ![]()

i was hoping it would be possible to experiment with traps, and make it so that i could get more uses per set of traps than what you normally get. figure if i'm going to sell them in an outdoorsmans' shop, that i should try to get the best of the best, but i'll just use the low qualtiy grinding stuff that i have sitting around for traps and camps.
