So what works best? What do you do to find (Npc's - aka Hero's , or creatures) the fastest?

Gee, personally, Iread the game guide for the Hero quest and hang out in the area of the waypoints. How hard can that be?

I found the boar in under 5 mins, the BH and crew in under 10. The freaking pirates took me a week, but then again, I was looking at peak times except when I finally found em. The rancher is next, should not be hard.

For creatures - I am a Ranger. I pretty much know where I can find stuff already. I go into that area and /ar til I find what I want.

what i do is make 4 waypoints one for each corner of a box covering an area that is a known spawn location for whatever i am looking for. i pick a corner and start there track move 500m in a straight line to opposite side of the box stop and track. repeat every 500m. when i reach the far edge move over 500m and repeat till the whole box is covered. if i dont find what i am looking for i move over 250m and repeat the process in 500m intervals again. this forces the spawn to happen since you only have to be within about 200m to make something spawn.

doing that maximizes your chances of finding a target in a given area. if at the end of the second pass i dont find what i am looking for i try again in a few hours after the spawn has had a chance to cycle.
