Down to the frustration of relentlessly stalking and shooting low level mobs again, poor ken' needs a bit of R&R, that's redirection and restructuring in this case.

So, as it's the weekend of the GRM I'm going to let the poor bloke have a holiday on the beach of northern Naboo before finishing off his journey to Master Rangerliness. (Am just a days worth of hunting mid ranged mobs but need the break, lol)

I was looking through his template and noticed I've been crippling myself, skillpoints wise, as I took a mad detour into trying for master brawler along the way. Well, I'd got the unarmed, fencer and swordsman lines down while I was trying out different melee approaches and I 'only' need polearms to get another wee badge up....

As a result I've dropped novice CH, twice, and his novice rifles went to make room for novice swords. Oh and the last of his medic skills went out the window an age ago, but I usually run with at least one buddy who can heal.

Okay, so things I've learned now through experiencing them.

You can't depend on buffs. They cost too much, result in you getting careless and frequently lead to you soloing a lair for 20-30 minutes when, unbuffed, you would have gone after half a dozen smaller lairs resulting in a larger harvest, more xp and possibly more credits.

Melee attacks are fantastic fun. But below TK you need buffs and even after that youregoing to take unbeliveable amounts of BF. You're also going to go through ubese kit like toilet paper.

Ranged attacks can certainly clear that cluster of mobs and let you move in to harvest or send the bot, but the downside is that that poor mind pool gets hammered. Still, hunt around and find a good supplier of brandy, buy a bottle, buy a crate, the largest qty you can afford. I also found accagaram made a difference when I was using some weapons that drain the action pool. Oh, and a little pixie for emergencies! (we got overwhelmed by some rondo the other night and I was able to stay with it by popping pixie, brandy and thumping away with my hammer. Poor team mate was squished into the gravel. I'm still practising my /rescue routine, lol)

So. Decisions decisions. Dump that brawler diversion (I'll make one on another server just for the experience of doing it), reclaim 37 skill points. 8 of those will go on Wayfaring I and Master Ranger, 22 to Novice medic and enough into the low levels of medic to be able to use StimB's again. The rest will go on Novice rifles. I guess later I'll drop some of ranger to get my CH skills again, but we'll see.

Right, for now I've got to go run some recon missions! Yup, I've overspent on buffs and ubese THAT much! Soon as he's solvent am parking ken' up with a view of the sea for a day or two and heading to TC and Wanderhome.
