Well, finding my friends was the only thing I used track player for. Since I felt this was a silly use for this skill I don't mind that they made another way to do this. I remember the frustration of waiting for friends to stop fighting whatever was killing them long enough to send me a wp. This is more a convenience that a nerf.

Hmmm... I can suddenly see a lot of forlorn: "I can't find you... am I not on your friends list?"
Errrrr...

I also use /areatrack player when I'm wounded and TEFd to figure out if I should worry about any of the blue dots on my radar.

So can I use this to track across servers if we're on one another's friend list?

Theoretically yes, but as it's only on TC just now we've only got one galaxy to play with...
"only got one galaxy" lol, I don't want much do I?

Not many things on my screen make me literally "LOL", but that did. Thanks you Vorpaks ![]()
I have to say, even when finding other rangers (for training), I almost always give and recieve grid coordinates anyway. Which is fine with me, as I've said before on this board, I don't think we rangers should be so technophobic, just pretend the datapad is a standard issue GPS system that everybody gets along with theirCDEFpistol![]()

5 stars Vorpaks. Same literal laugh out loud
This doesn't make me mad either, but the idealogy does a bit I admit. /blush
That after so much is needed for rangers yet we get something that can be even construed at all as a possible nerf to us....its a wee bit of a slap in the face. Albiet, After 5 years of EQ and 1 year of SWG my cheeks are numb already SOE

My constructive critisizm:
I mean, we had to grind all the way up Ranger so we could area track people, now they are giving it to everybody.

There goes the point in people tracking so thats camps and tracking, place your bets for next one to be screwed.
But being completly honest, I never even track people, theres no point, just animals and npcs for me

whoah! hold up there little tiddlers...
For /findfriend to work you have to have a friend in your pals list and they have to have you in theirs. When you do a /findfriend you'll then get a waypoint for them.
Our powerful player tracking skills will still be as, uhm, powerful.
If I had any friends I'd give this a try, like.
