When i am harvesting meat or milking banthas how much of a difference would i expect to get from the harvesting branch of ranger or from master ranger?

None for milking.

Harvesting, put it this way. Without a group, a Novice Scout harvests 1/2 as much as a Master Ranger. This does not consider anything but their base modifiers as a profession. Bonuses are race, Veghash, grouping, and Droids for a character whose creature harvesting modifier is lower than that of the droid.

In reality, it does help.

Being a Ranger is fun. Soon, it will be Scout. But I'm going to try and stay Ranger.

/agree

And yes, it makes a difference.

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.
