get a swoop you dont care about, rush into the base. slice the terminal and then die while trying to get away.

I've never done it, but i heard thats how its done. 1k exp a pop. Best to try after server reset so they aren't already sliced. Good luck.

Investigation is a pain, I haven't found any short cuts for it. If i do ill let you know.

As for slicing a base.........I get pwen'd every timeI try. I'll get ya an update when i sucsessfully do it.

Here is the trick I learned the 1st time I grinded investigation... max out your exp at novice. Wait until you get the 10k investigation exp cause in the beginning its an easy hunt and the exp value doesn't really change... you go from getting 500 to 600. So max out ur exp and ull get inv 1+2 and have almost 1/2 your way done to box 3. Considering i can do at least 2 missions per hour slicing base terms doesn't seem to be a good alt for time.

I can't wait for the changes... can you imagine what a fun PVE (npc's) BH Ranger will be...? You can seek up to them (though u dont have to) steal from them lay ur explosives all around them, sneak off, aim ur carbine at them... then nail them with a KD and a nice DOT and wait for them to get up... they always close a little distance and when they do BOOM...

So, I can do this to PvE bases. How long does it take to slice? Are those terminals all the way in the lower levels or near the top?

Im also currently grinding Investegation, not fun at all.

One tip but a system i havnt tried muchusing camo when u go to the NPC bases worked last night, but again this could of been a once in a million chance.

You need INv 2 to Hack a Term in the Base. you get 1k BH xp. if your part of a good group you can grind the xp oin bases in a few hours, If your server is Dominated by Op faction.

The Saving up 10k xp Is still a good idea. Many of the old Bugs are still there from what i understand.

MR/MBH seemed an obvious choice for me as well...

How is it working out for you? I mean, with your points spent on MR and MBH it really doesn't leave any room for any Pistol/Carbine/Rifle. Has this been a problem at all? You tough enough to get the job done without these so far?

I appreciate and advice as I have just respec'd Ranger/BH and am having to drop my Pistoleer for BH.

I did a few bases for about 4k investigation xp.

First off, BHs don't slice the base, smugglers do that. What you're doing is jamming the uplink. It doesn't take long, but you can't do it while in combat. Also, I found that my camo did boo inside the base.

Some bases the guys barely hit me for any damage. So I stood there and fired AoE attacks until they were all dead and then just jammed the uplink. Other bases, however, the damage was impressive and I didn't last long before cloning - these were all PvE bases btw.

My suggestion lorrowyn is to have 1 or 2 rebel friends go in and draw the aggro while you jam the uplink. Heck, you only really need one person to do this, as long as they can hold agro and stay alive.

Another challenge with the base method is finding them. If you can find a nice juicy spot of PvE bases, get a friend or two and go to town on them.

Lorrowyn, look me up and I'll help you on this one. I can hold the aggro for you while you jam the uplink. I may want you to slap on a rez arm though just in case

You guys on naritus are talking about jamming an uplink on an imperial base? Sounds like a myth to me since there are so many rebels... how many times has the rebellion held all planets and how many at most have the imperials ever held?

I'm that combo...but can't help you.
