Thread: Are Rangers becoming the Rogues of WOW?

I've read the revamp notes and a large number of posts..... It still seems to me that Rangers are to become the "Rogue"of WOW. I'm still not sure what to think of it, I like my wow rogue, I took him to 60... but I stayed with SWG because it was different then other MMORPGs. The real thing that is bothering me is I'm wondering if Rangers are going to be as common as Rogues in WOW... sometimes it seems like everyone is a rogue. It's going to be a shock though, playing one role in SWG for over 2 years and then have the design team change it overnight.... Did anyone ask us rangers is we wanted to be changed into the "stealther" class. Why couldn't they have just implemented a new class with this new expansion. Ohwell, I'll get off my soapbox for now.

Rangers have been asking for stealth since 2003. It's the one thing that most people agreed upon.

Come on, you know everyone will remain Jedi with a BH alt, you have no need to worry

Oh.... lol. Well if you can't tell by my # of posts I'm not that big of a forum junkie. (Personally I think I'm the only one with arelease dayregistration date with <200 posts). Stealth might be cool, but then again if scout is going to take on what rangers used to be then I should still be able to have all my old skills and just get a dump of new ones right? Hell, i'm just hoping for some more Ranged D mods!

Id say that CH's will become the new de facto hunters since they are free to master scout without too much penalty. I would not say that we are becomming rogues, the role to me is light infantry, which is sorely needed right now. I will still proudly call myself a ranger.

Well if they don't add a Carbineer pre-req then everyone will mostly like just make a Master Ranger/Master Riflemen alt.... who doesn't like the thought of 2Shot killing someone from 70m away completely unseen. I've always been a sniper at heart, thus my template layout and my keeping it for so long. Despite being buffed up and then getting the Nerf bat multiple times. I say make our pre-req only two lines so i can FINALLY add some healing ability to my character! All I do is solo, so that would be a HUGE plus for me.
