Try the squeal cave on Tatooine, plenty of CL 26 creatures there, and you can harvest them to get material for more traps. Oh and you can visit the hermit down there in what look parts of a underground HTFB.

Throw traps at everything. Well... everything appropriate for you combat level anyway. Even creatures at a higher level than you (probably shouldn't try that ancient krayt though). When you land the odd success against em it really can add up.

Throw more than 1 trap, just throw one after another and land multiple states on the creature (even though most won't do anything).

You can also look at the stickied threads above to look at Calc's trapping xp thread.

Trapping XP is not tied to your combat level, If your trapping skill level (even modified with dweezel) is too low the traps are not going to stick, you're going to spend a lot of time plinking p-darts of beasties for no return.

Find out what your trapping skill level is. With and without dweezel.

Trap creatures at that level. If they are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than your combat level you are, frankly, laughing, as you're going to be able to keep spamming traps on that sucker while it chews your ankles and you /bactashot ever so often. Every* trap will land, every trap will get you XP.

It's a question of time invested / XP gained. 20 traps bouncing of a CL80 beast when you have baby scout trap skills is not going to get you anything like the XP you'll get bouncing same 20 traps off a CL20.


*allowing for random misses, slippy creatures, bad traps and bugs, obviously.
