Im a Novice Ranger and Im not sure which armour or weapons or traps would be best for me to use? Im Combat Lvl 26.The priority is for me to get some armour. Could somebody please help me?? thanks.

Depends on what your other profession is, Ranger makes you certified to use Battle Armor (Padded, Bone).

Your best trap right now is the phecnacine dart. It really slows a creature enough to allow yourself to keep your prey out of agro range thus eliminating the need for armor. I am almost finished grinding a character on test center up to cl 80 and haven't used armor on him yet and probably won't bother getting any when I do. Armor for me is mostly a roleplay clothing item.

As for other weapons, use whatever weapon you are certified for thatdeals the most damage for your profession.

Rifles is a great combination with Ranger. Once you get past the level of using the spraystick (which looks embarrasingly like you're holding a toothbrush in battle) rifles with conceal and cover rocks.

You can wear marauder armor as well as the lumpy looking padded-leave the sleeves off and your character looks *hawt* lol.

The P-dart is good at slowing down the target, also use the glow wire trap to make the target vulnerable to damage and the lowly sharp bone spur to blind the opponent. Carry traps in crates if you can (buy em or make em) so you can just keep tossing traps like a crazy man. Always use Dweezel for more trapping efficiency or trapping will sap your soul

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.
