Thread: suggestion about Ranger and BH
Hello, i'm a new player.
I just wondering which profession is worth to play. At the very beginning, i want to be a BH. But now I think Ranger's skills are more easy to level up. Any suggestion to me?
Thanks all.
Ranger and BH are really very different kinds of professions. BH is mostly combat oriented. Ranger deals a lot with traveling and surviving in the wilderness and being more effective in combat against animals.
Ranger skills arecurrently easier to gain than BH skills, though most Ranger xp requirements are being increased in the next major patch, which also includes some cool new Ranger abilities. If you're just starting out and aren't most of the way through Scout yet, you may not be able to get to Novice Ranger in time to take advantage of the current xp rates.
Finally, I changed to be a Ranger. ![]()
But I can't find any Ranger players in Flurry server can teach me the skills... sigh
Can anyone who playing in Flurry server can teach me some Ranger skills?
Thank you.![]()
I am on Flurry and typically running around Eisley on Tatooine... Yes I call that dustbowl home, or the closest thing I have to one.
If you are ever in the area feel free to hit me up. I only have 0-2-3-0 though. Hopefully I should have Field Bio IV today or tomorrow. Then I am going to work on grinding out Wayfaring, then Trapping. Frontiering is it's own evil animal that will just take time... Lots of time. I keep getting excited that I have 39K of 60K toward Frontiering III but it's hard to get too excited as it crawls up sooooo slowly.
Jabourn.
Thanks Jabourn.
I'm in Mos Entha on Tatooine ![]()
It seems Frontiering and Trapping are more useful than the others. Maybe I don't clearly understand all the purpose of the skills. For example, about the Field Bio, I'm not sure what it will affect.
I'm currently a Ranger/bh on Ahazi server and I really like the combination. I plan on gaining my Master Ranger title but I don't intend on getting master BH. I'm really only using the BH for the weapon certifications and skills. I'm not even working on the investigation skills. It's my feeling that I am well rounded for PVE and PVP with this profession combination. I can solo most of the animals in the game and I'm rather formidable against other players. Rather than taking one of the weapon specific profession, (Pistoleer, carbineer, rifleman) I like that Bounty hunter gives you a combination of weapon skills. (Pistol, carbine and LLC).
Sorry for any spelling errors, too tired to proof read.
I am a BH and Ranger, but I am mainly more of a ranger now because of the poor state of BHs. I don't use carbines so the many nerfs don't have an effect on me really. Please read this post I made regarding the state of BHing in SWG.

Being a ranger is a lot more enjoyable, interesting, and profitable at this point.
