Yeah IRC for sure. Too much stuff uses elite these days.

Heck if it were up to me I'd use the army's slogan for a PA name.

I like Army of One, it does fit our characters quite well... I wonder if the US Goverment would come after us if we used it? Hmm...they might have tomake some agents joinSWG (Overt Imperials?) andhunt us down, but we cantake 'em

CORE is 4 letters instead of 3, but I think I like it better than being know as (Internet Relay Chat). Bah! next meeting we bring a chance cube and just roll.

If a Ranger PA is going to form on Sunrunner, I'd definitely go for IRC as well. I think of the ranger as a sort of recluse, so independant sounds good to me.

It may just be me, but I've always thought of Rangers as the types that roam the edges of society. Hunters, Trappers, Miners, Wanderers, Explorers, Frontiersmen...the types that decide to pack up when they start getting neighborscloser than 10 miles away or on the other side of the mountain. I've always thought of them as the common sense, down-to-earth types who don't put alot of value on high falootin names and titles an such.So, to me all these names are ridiculous. How about just 'The Rangers' or 'Rangers'? That says it all to me.

Blue I say, "BLUE" Which-ever that one is. "Rangers" is too long for a moniker biwan: RNGR maybe, if you take off the other titles.

Ack!!! You're right!! I can't believe I didn't see that when I added it. Bah!! I don't like the idea of being an IRC either. That's all we need, a bunch of AOL and IM folks messaging us!!

We agonized over this topic for a long time during the meeting and finally decided to go on to something else due to all the different opinions and comments.

Although I do understand the concerns expressed, personally, I don't have a problem with 'Elite'. The Ranger tree isone of the elite professions, it sounds like we are special (which we are), and I don't think anyone would confuse us with the lEEt bozos, especially since its only part of the name and the tag is not just 'Elite'. When I think of elite, the first thing that comes to my mind is not lEEt.

I don't mind a bit more discussion on this and more name suggestions, but we need to come to a decision soon. I have lots of Rangers on Ahazi waiting for us to get going and several other galaxies are also itching to get started.
