Hello, I play a wookiee with a lot of professions on his hands. I wanted to be a Squad Leader since day one so I grinded a ton of marksman and scout skills (squad leader requires Ranged Support 4 / Survival 4 / Explore 4 and 7500 combat xp). I rather liked hunting in groups which is why I wanted to be Squad Leader, but killing big game gets you a ton of scout xp when you harvest.

So now I realize that with a little more trapping xp I can be a master scout and go on to Ranger. I am currently a Carbineer/Squad Leader/Medic so I would have to give up some stuff to make room, but my question is do you think it is worth giving up my hard earned skills to venture into Ranger or should I leave it a lone?

If you choose:

Master Scout (prereq)

Master Ranger

Master Squad Leader

Ranged Weapon Support Ability Specialist (prereq)

This would only leave you with 18 skill points left, not enough to be a novice in carbineer. You would be the safari king, but wouldn't have much combat power. Just having a couple boxes in an elite marksman profession really makes a difference. If you don't master Ranger or SL than it might work. It all depends on your play style, have fun.
