Not positive, but it's not /takecover that warps you, but the prone bug is still very prevelant. When going prone you may warp 20-30m in just about any direction, normally directly away from or directly tward a MOB.

In this instance I'm not blaming /takecover. I realize that /takecover is currently bugged, causing the person to walk for a short duration after they take 2 feet once again. I typically don't utilize /takecover because of this issue. As for the warping thing, I've read it is a server lag issue but I have problems with that theory as well. This was the first time I've seen the other things though (corpses instantly disappearing, unattackable mobs, etc...) Perhaps they are still working the back end servers and that is all that I was seeing.

Ok post-patch I'm running into issues. I'm out hunting and do the /takecover command (yes I know about the bugs with this which DID show up). Right after this I stop receiving XP messages on screen, My position shifts 20m backwards after I take my first bleed shot, MoB corpses are disappearing at my feet right as I kill them, other MoBs are targetable, viewable, but I can't attack them nor are they attacking me...yet others spawn around them and are attackable.

I have similar problems with takecover. When I use it I get the "warped back 20m" syndrome. The other stuff not an issue, but something that always happens, and is a pain, is I get stuck in "walk mode". It is as if I can't run. If I use burstrun, it makes me run, like if I had autorun working. I always have this happen, and it has gotten me killed more times than I'd like to think. I hate to think how screwed I'd be if "perma death" was in effect. This ability should help you deal with mobs of NPC attackers, but from what I've seen, it isn't worth using for the headaches I get. Wish it worked for me.
