Thread: Ranger Cabin
Haven't seen this idea discussed yet, and it didn't turn up in a search.
Back in beta there was a discussion about a Ranger Cabin. I thought it was a great idea. Something that you get at Master Ranger. Uses up bones and hides in large quantities, perhaps even requiring bones/hides from specific planets or all the planets. It would be a permanent house like a small generic house, but have alog cabinwith campy looking things outside... maybe an axe in a log or something. Require an axe in the building process, lol. It could be made to where only a master ranger could set up.
Anyone else think this might be a good perk for us rangers? We already get camps, and I don't think this one cabin would cut too much into the Architects business.
If it was non-tradable or could only be used by Rangers....maybe.
Personally, I'd like it if I could move my house (or if it was a cabin) with all the items intact...
The +Planet Specific Hunting Cabin Deed has become my personal crusade.
Something like an Extra Small house that would require Master level Ranger to make and Deed...
Could be placed even on the "Advanced" planets, making us true Frontiersmen...
I love this idea, a semi-perminant hunting cabin. No maintenance pool and limited condition so it only lasts a few days, mabe 3/4 depending on the planets etc.
I often go to a planet and stay for a day or two. This faeture would definatly make me more friendly to hunting trips for a few days, as long as things kept inside would not disapear or would not allow you to place things down etc. It does seem a very very very hard thing for the devs to include but should most definatly be something the devs should take on board and get working on. I dont mind waited a few months as long as i know its been acknowledged and worked on.

If it wasn't permanent, yes. If it stayed up, oh, two hours from start, or as long as the master revisited every two hours, yes I think it's a good idea. And only one at a time and usuable by one ranger at a time.
Only problem is the whole woodsy-feel isn't very Star-Warsish it seems. But then again, torches as lighting in a high-tech PA hall?
