Ranger Archive

The new abilities we've gotten aren't perfect but they're a great step in the right direction. We basically got what we asked for through the ranger correspondent system.

It is because of this that we should give thanks to Mineras for his hard work and dedication to the Ranger Profession. When I get home, I will be renaming my probot 'Mineras' in his honor. DeltaXi65 also deserves a thanks from all of us for selflessly taking up a substitute correspondent role while the devs assign a new correspondent.

Three /cheers to both of you.

Thanks for trying, even if it's not exactly right yet. I look forward to the next patch with much anticipation, but even more towards getting home from work and seeing how many new ways I have to get killed.

Amen to that. Delta's post about being disappointed in his fellow Ranger's was very well said as well. The comment regarding the influx of the "d00d" crowd was right on the money. Lots of new Rangers popped up after the Dev's post regarding the upcoming changes.

I noted in a thread earlier this afternoon that there was suddenly a lot of negative attitude, and I, for one, was glad to see Delta shine some light on that. I am getting ready to log on and test these changes myself, but I am glad that our profession got the attention it needed to begin with.

Here's to Mineras for getting us where we are, and to Delta for picking up the banner and selflessly carrying on. /salute

barring having to use my 2nd char to find my resources, im loving areatrack and conceal..but havent tested how well conceal works on the remote planets of death yet

also, the change to the high tech base was interesting, and unexpected, but it actually was a major beef of mine for a long time. due to the lack of /survey on my ranger

I agree ... have posted a lot of times in the past about the great job Mineras has done . Thanks to Delta for filling in for now . Let's keep our fingers crossed for more changes for the better

Hmm, I haven't been around these boards much since I de-trained ranger but allow me to tip my hat toboth correspondants. You have both done an admirable job, fostering good communication and maintaining a sense of decorum that is severely lacking on almost all of the other profession boards. Here's hoping that the recent changes will continue to improve the ranger profession for the better!
