In the patch message I could have sworn it said we are supposed to be awared Wilderness Survival experience for crafting camp kits and traps. That, and the influx of resources due to the new looting system, are why camp kits now cost more to make.

I don't seem to get experience for crafting. Which is really too bad because my Wilderness survival is the only thing that stands between me and master. When I read this I immediately planned on grinding my way up.

Is anybody else having this problem?

I verified last night I was getting Survival XP for crafting. The averages were something like this (from memory):

HQ Camp Kit ~100 (+5% in practice mode)

Adhesive Mesh Trap ~ 72

Basic Camp Kit ~30

What I didn't check last night was XP from Camo Kits, so I can't say for sure whether or not those provide xp like they're supposed to, but for sure Camp Kits and Traps do.

Hmmm, I would suggest you check carefully and make sure you're not getting any Survival XP, because I was getting it for all traps, camps, and camokits I crafted last night.

Yes, we are getting wilderness survival XP. Open your skills window and click on the wilderness survival box you are working on. Craft a trap or a camp and you will notice the number increase. You don't get a message telling you that you earned the XP, but it is awarding it. I've /bug(ged) this once to request that we are told how much XP we earn when the item is outputted to our hopper. Small detail that we'll probably get later.

Thank you all. I haven't actually logged into the game yet and verified, but I have no doubt of what you are telling me. I did not actually look at my exp on my skills page. I went solely on the fact that I didn't get a message. I do hope they add the message.
