Ok..here me out first. 99.9 percent do not enjoy having to either sink time or money into finding or buying these resources.

I was thinking..the system is in place to do the /area track...why does it have to be for just animals, npcs, or players? Why not let us have an option to do an area track on planet specific resources that we need...Wood, fungui, berries...and so on. We see if it is in the area...and then forage for it.

It is unreasonable to think that only a high tech survey device and the other skills that we have no points for is the only way that a Master Ranger can find Wood and other areas. But I am able to find a baby bantha 500 m away..and will soon be able to find an exact creature that I want with the coming tracking abilities.

We are not taking away from the artisans because we never had to buy this stuff off of them before. It is just an idea. I have made a few kits and for what we get out of them but the time i spent to make and gather the resources...it was a huge letdown to not have it work that well at all...at a Master Ranger level.

I would be a bit happier if these kits worked wonders like I was expecting...and maybe then I would be willing to agree that we could get this stuff off of a bazaar. or elsewhere..but for what they are worth now..it would be better for us to just get the items we need.

not sure why i said harvesting...it should have been foraging. We should be able to track for the resources we need that would be out in the open type of items that are listed.

Once I realized that metal and other inorganic materials are necessary in crafting our more advanced traps, I took the artisan skill. I am on Valcyn and I would like to help Rangers in my galaxy that have elected to go another (non-artisan) route with their supplimental skill points.

If you are on Valcyn, please contact me in game via a /tell or an email. I would like to form an in informal network of Rangers out there that can help each other regarding the resource issues.
