Hey all, I know some other classes are getting big changes in the upcoming publish (ie meleers) and there is the whole creature mount/player city thing.

On that note, I certainly hope Rangers will be getting some incentive to stay in our profession. Does anyone know of what changes will be made? Anything confirmed?

If we don't get anything this month, I suppose I'll untrain and go for Doctor and then retrain when Ranger is worth having. Master Ranger has been fun for the past two months, its just that I don't have any incentive to STAY a Ranger when for something like Master Doctor, there is a LOT!

Thanks!

Our developer is GreenMarine...

  • He is the mastermind behind Player Cities, which as you noted, is going in the next Publish.

  • So he has been preoccupied getting that system up and running.

So... No, there are no changes specific to the Ranger profession going in this time around.

No changes, just because they fixed a load of stuff before and made us semi worthwhile to have in a group, does that mean GreenMarine can only work 24 hrs a day on his cities. I am affronted, taken aback, besides myself, rats, now I am lost....

Anyhow, I am gonna untrain (is that a word?) and become what all good Imps should become, a hairdresser... gonna change my character to Ramone of Bayonne (nice ring huh?) and only give out mullets. So there, I hope that makes y'all feel bad. Neener even.

Now on a realistic note, we have been very fortunate as of late, no complaints on the stuff they did fix, and only hoping they fix and make some of our proposed changes.

A big happy hooo-ahhh (not oooh-rahh) to GreenMarine... and NRass gets one too.

ditto JBMatt

The changes that we got in the last patch were very nice, and although I dont play for the perks, I play to kill critters and Imperials (btw Imperial meat is 980 OQ right now so get it while the gettins' good). However, we have been promised some nice upgrades soon, and when that happens, I will still be here to welcome you back.

I have to admit I was disappointed to see no Ranger changes in the next update. I will stay a Ranger no matter what, but being that Greenmarine promised new traps and the camp fix prior to the launch of aretrack and camo kits I am let down. Unfortunately I don't realistically think we'll make the next patch either, due to the impending fixes to DE, Architect and others.

However, on the down side we are having decay on death now. That means we may have to have a house to put things in instead of carrying everything around

I would also like to see perks for RANGER and Creature Handling. Our knowledge of creatures should help our pets deal more damage out. Plus with commands for creatures going in we should be able to direct our pets to those vulnerable areas OUCH!!

You know, it is this patience showed by the SWGranger community as a whole, compared to others, that makes me really love my profession.
