A very sad ranger. I have been a Master TKA / Master Ranger for over 3 months and finally this past week I have decided to give up the Ranger field. Overall I just feel it doesn't offer enough for the points. I kept hanging in there hoping that enough changes would happen to justify using the extra points. My main reason for choosing Ranger was for the wayfaring skill. I assumed when I first chose this profession that I would be able to outrun every non Master Ranger on flat ground as well as on hills. I thought I would be able to close in fast on my enemies and use my TKA skills.

There should be some way for Rangers to make traps, tents, and camo kits with instructions that the non Ranger could sell. Camo kits are virtually worthless. I was happy when camo kits came out at first because I was under the impression I would be able to sell these to non rangers for income. I don't know of many rangers that care to conceal a group of 10 plus people when the majorority of thepeople justattack the nearest creature 100 meters anyways. I find the High Tech field bases really nothing more then novelty conversation. If it's High Tech why can't we fight out of it, use turrets, have mission terminals, etc. Tracking was about the only real skill I thought had some use, but once the tracking list displayed we should be able to click on the target and track it down instead of continuously hitting the tracking hotkey. What can I say about traps other then there have been no changes to the complaints we have had about them for the past 4 plus months.

I will continue to surf the Ranger board and hope that some day there will be enough changes to justify the use of 63 skill points. It was a fun ride while it lasted and I enjoyed giving advice to many up and coming young rangers, but It's time to pursue anothere trade and see what else awaits me. Thinking of going Commando with TKA.
