This happens to me all the time. I NEVER use Mask Scent and I NEVER use camo-kits. Everytime I am out hunting with, oh let's say 3-8 people, I am singled out by the creatures. The whole group would be attacking the lair, I'm standing behind everyone doing nothing, and the creatures that spawn aggro me. When we are traveling, I am aggroed at least twice as much as everyone else. Things will break off from an attack to come after me, even if I'm not attacking them.

Why does this happen? It is really frusterating because I am a Wookie, with very little combat skills, and obviously little-to-no armor. I'm a 3-4-4-4 Ranger, and I always the only ranger with my group. I figure you guys might be able to help some.

Even better. A group of 6 people. I am not shooting at the current target, as I am busy crafting some more traps. I am in the rear of the crowd, minding my own business. One guess who the sharnaff goes after, ignoring 2 pets and 5 people.

So after brushing myself off and wasting the stupid sharnaff, I change signs on my head. Novice Medic. Next target, same deal. I wasn't shooting, I was maskscented, as were the 3 novice scouts, and I was still crafting. Here comes Sharnaff.

Could it be my deodorant, or lack thereof? You know, there were some rasps we had to clear out first, maybe they ratted me out. Ok, more testing.

Anyhow, I then went to Master Gunfighter or somesuch crap, and they still keyed on me, shooting or not, so I shot and trapped their stinky butts. Hope the BE can grind to Master soon, tired of these dumb things.

I think as Rangers we get branded on the forehead with some secret invisible tatoo only the animals can see.

This was happening to me tonight as well.... Eventually I just sat 50m away, had my friend attack then run in my direction so I would have a fighting chance and not automatically have every critter and its sister attack me.

Its the most annoying thing. Last night I am standing at 85 m from the dune kimo. A comando is lighting the Kimo on fire, TKA beating it up, etc, and where does it run.... straight at me and kills me in one hit. I hadnt even started to attack yet.

It happens to many of us. A friend of mine said it was because I was too close, now you've clarified. I'm pretty sure it's because of our Creature-to-Hit bonuses pissing them off.

Usually having a friend running directly up to the creature and through them will make it attack them. Doing that with each person works to save eachother.

we are too cocky with out mask scent/camo?

devs controling certain creatures and attack us at will?

mask scent really makes us reak of the creatures favorite food?

I had this same effect on hives of gurks on Lok yesterday. In a group of six or seven, with two pets and two melee classes, the gurks seemed to single me out like I was covered in honey. Luckily before we started out for the hunt I got mega buffs in my health and action pools, but they would occasionally go for my un-buffed and lowest pool mind so I'd have to run to the melee players and pets just to not get incapacitated. Just like others, I was the only Ranger in the group, so there must be something they really like (pronounced HATE)about us.

Does anyone have any reasons as to why though? They don't even have to be logical, but there has to be some explanation for this.

Yeah - I was not half way up the Ranger tree when we were hunting some smaller creatures on Lok when a Kimo came and killed me almost immediately! He then went to only incap the rest of the group (before killing them one by one after all had been incap'd) I believe I was the only Ranger in the group as well.
