I recieved ranger as my third holocron skill and was worried that it was going to take a long time to do. After reading a lot of info on this forum I was less worried. The information I used is spread out in many posts so I though I would detail it here for other Jedi wannabies.

Camping exp - 3 hours 15 minutes.

You will require the following (I bought mine, hide at around 5cpu, bone at 4cpu and metal at 2cpu):

40,000 units of hide

25,000 units of bone

14,000 units of metal

4 generic crafting tools

Pitch your tent and start crafting the most advanced camps that you can make. Disband and rebuild your camp every 20 minutes.

Trapping exp 1 hours 50 minutes

Empty your inventory as much as you can. Craft wire mesh traps until your inventory is full. Find a creature that gives around 150-200 exp per trap. I used Hurtons for the first two boxes then moved on to pickets that give 350 ish trapping exp, the creture needs to be something that heals its own lair. Send in pet to attack lair and then kill everything until theres only one enemy left. Throw traps at it while it beats on your pet and heal the lair that your pet is attacking. Heal your pet once in a while. You should go through each skill box by trapping just one hurton over and over.

Scouting exp 9 hours 30 minutes

Get a speederbike and go to dathomir. Mask scent and ride through packs of red stuff until maskscent breaks. Repeat over and over. Once you find a good route you should be getting over 30,000 exp per hour.

Total time 14 hours 35 minutes.

Who in their right mind would play for 14 hours and 35 minutes in 1 gaming session?

Also, you should probably add in the time it will take for you to find a trainer...about 5-10 minutes for each box, increasing the time as you get higher up in that skill level

I found it was best to get 2 missions on dathomir, then ride a figure 8 around them over and over.

The fun starts at jedi my friend. but I understand your argument. We holochasers dident make way to becoming jedi, we just folow it as fast as we can so that we can start playing what we came to do.

Another example of this pitiful way for choosing Jedi. The path to unlocking your FS slot should be fun and exciting... not a grind. It's a shame that the FS slot isn't available to non-grinders.

there is a way to get trapping faster if you're a master creature handler. Track for a vexxed voritor hunter, and through your traps at it, all wire mesh. Each level in trapping took 1 vexxed voritor. I just sic'd my rancor on the voritor and threw traps, my rancor finished it off for me with a few pet stims. Took me about an hour and a half, would have been quicker if I had a ranger to train me though.

Yes! You have no time for the teachings of your elders, you have no time for learning, you have no time for fun! Down to the Darksider, with each passing holo profession you make yourself more my servant! Muhahahaha!
