Thread: New to the Ranger Profession...Does Conceal work?
It does, and better then /maskScent (critters literally do not see you, they can see you with just /maskScent). However, there have been some changes in the works from the description you see about it in game. This is from the dev responses:
So basically they plan on religating it to a super/maskScent that costs aprox. 8 resources per use (give or take 4 for experimentation and materials quality). Mho is that it is no longer worth it if this goes this way, but you might not have the same opinion. Lok and Dath will be just as dangerous for a Ranger as anyone else. Maybe more so, as the skill points can't be used for combat.
3. Conceal and Humanoid NPCs
The developers have deemed our profession to be the Ultimate Creature Hunters.
But with that, hard choices must be made to follow the path of that vision...
- One of those choices was that /conceal command was never intended to work against humanoid NPCs, and when it did work was the true error.
Thanks for the info,
After I master BH,I would only have 33 skill points left and I was wondering if I should use them on CH or Ranger.
I was thinking about getting Player Track and the first 3 boxes of conceal.
What would the first three boxes of conceal get me?
I think it depends on if the nerf goes in or not. If it's still going to work on NPCs then I think its a good use of your skill points. Box 3 will give you most of it and you can buy the last camo kits you cant make from other rangers. If the nerf goes in and it doesnt work against NPCs I wouldnt waste your skill points on the line as likely your mask scent will work just as well and the kits will just be for applying to other people.
