Crap. Load of. Utter. This is...

Ok, THIS has to change back. I'll be giving up Master for it in fact if it doesn't, I cannot afford to hold on to worthless skill points otherwise.

big disapointment

It still works for me but occasionally a NPC attacks without breaking my camo its iffy around NPCs so still try to avoid aggro NPCs and only use you camo as a safe guard around them.

LOL...I hunt mainly on Dant...Mask scent broke more times than I can count...15 people standing around and I am singled out and mobbed...lmao. I couldnt fight I was laughing so hard. Dont take the game bugs to heart. It will get better...slowly but it will. Patience is a Ranger cornerstone.

Heck...I even got mobbed without mask scent up like everyone else....Its called being a "Ranger Cookie"

Okay...I'm having 2nd thoughts about aiming for Ranger. I'm about 2/3rd done Scout, so why should continue to Ranger and go through that hell of a levelling process just to get a few retired abilities that are nerfed when I can go be...basically anything with tons more combat ability? f it.

But.......but..........if you don't get master ranger, you won't be able to make the big camp! The big camp that makes people go 'Ohhh' and 'Ahhhh'! The big camp that doesn't actually do anything useful cept look cool and takes up all you skill points to make!

I mean, isn't that the whole reason anyone becomes a master ranger?

I've been Master Ranger since August or so and people still ohhhh and ahhhhh over my big camp. Sure it doesn't do any more than the most basic scout tent and a droid with crafting and medical modules, but when it gets me as much attention as the CH/Grenadeer who just solo'd 15 million force sensitive rancors then I'm happy

I'll drop Trapping and Wayfaring before I lose the big tent!

lol yeah I love seeing the n00bs run by and ask me if that is really my camp... Its the only thing that gets comments from people about me at all. Oh I suppose I can't forget the crafters nagging me when I run past them and they want some high quality hides that I can't get on my own (hunting blind would seriously help me in getting the wooly hideon Endor for these people).

I'm temporarily retiring my Ranger character to play on another server until changes are made that make my Ranger worthwhile. I'd change my character template but I don't feel like grinding through the camping xp a third time.

Yep, I'm currently at Master Ranger and going for Master Squad Leader (a mysterious voice in my head told me to do it!), but I'll have to give up some of my Ranger skills to get there. By far, the easiest choice was the so-called 'Advanced' Trapping line and now the Wayfaring line. Trapping because it's insanely easy for me to build up and Wayfaring because it's as useless as a Playstation 2 to a blind man if /conceal doesn't work against NPCs.

Well, if you spend about80 more skill points, and a lot of time levelling, you can increase your meat harvests by about 20%, get a couple of impressive looking, useless tents, and two whole new traps, rofl. Weeeee

Ah yes indeed, we are a masochistic bunch are we not?

It takes a lot of faith to remain in a profession that is so desperately in need of some TLC...

  • Hopefully all thisperseverance is not being wasted.
