Thread: Soloing black sun

I'm rifleman ranger and I was wondering if I could solo black sun with no armor and buffs+brandy. If I need armor would chitin/ubese be enough?

I think you really needcompositearmor. I was just hunting them, and the Assassins can get a little hariy but all we sticking to ranged damage.

I would just save up for some good composite armor.. cause if you can get buffs and you have some brandy, might as well do enraged rancors for some good cash to get 80 kinetic comp.

The Assassins come with around 30k ham on average.
the other ones average between 15k and 20k ham each.
soloing them unbuffed is a little tricky, im a master pike and i took a thug down, and it was a nasty fight. Nearly died several times, however, its possible. The main problem is that they help each other out, if you can take them on in a one on one, you should be ok using good tactics, (highly recommend food buffs) However, if more than one get in on the fight, and youre unbuffed... you might just be screwed, I know that i would be.

Meaning, you are buffed and use brandy *but* do not wear armor? Sure, go prone at max range and /concealshot the hell outta them (make sure to /peace after a miss, two misses without having /peaced them will lead to them aggro you).

Yeah I haven't wore comp in a long time. I can't use strafeshot2 in it. If I wear armor I end up having to get entertainer/dancer buffs though.

I think someone should introduce you to the magic of chef foods, there's more out there helping your mind (and/or secondaries) than brandy :-).
(I personally use brandy and to buff focus some more ahrisa, I do not like vagnerian canape outside of pvp, as I do not need the buff to willpower there and prefer the much longer duration of ahrisa).
