I have read through the Outdoorsman Proposal and I am very impressed. However, I felt it lacked one thing that I actually thought about in 'The Fellowship of the Ring', when Frodo is dying from the wraith poison and the group search for a weed to slow the poison. Here is the idea:

Foraged foods are made planet specific and a couple of new types are added that will reduce the duration and the damage taken from a poison/disease of a specific planet. For example, Foraged Tatoonian Sandgrubs will cure poisons from Dragonets and other poison creatures on Tatooine. These foraged items can be transferred to other players.

A Ranger should build up a natural resistance to diseases/poisons in the wild the morefamiliar they get with their surroundings.Therefore apoison resistance skill mod is added to the Frontiering Tree. At Master Ranger it is unlikely that the player will get poisoned/diseased by anything put the most powerful creatures.

To balance this out, wild poisons/diseases should be more frequent and have a longer duration. The doctor's cure command should only work in camps or hospitals. A poison: yes/no field in the examine window that appears at a certain creature knowledge level would also be useful. This means that people going into the wilderness may actually prefer a Ranger, the wilderness survival experts,in their group.

Please notethat neither of theseskillseffect Combat Medic poisons in PvP, which are genetically modified and thus unnatural. It also has no effect on any PvE humanoid poison should such a thing ever get added.

I have started harping on the Wilderness Toughness mod. Would add a resistance to disease and poisons and a faster recovery rate. Also away thru foraged/schmetic made items to cure poison and disease.
