i know, i know "try the trade forums"

well.... i did that, i even searched and scoured the land for rangers to help me out, but most i've found are "too busy" with other stuff or just holo-grinding.........

basically my proposition is this:

i'm a master bio-engineer and i would like a ranger to help me get samples

this includes tracking and camoflage..... i'm wondering what you think of a payment of 100cr/lvl would be appropriate (lvl 50= 5k) i would also pay 10k for any 75-lvl sample i get (mainly just mutant rancor)

obviously you would need to be master to help with that last part

i also need meat..... a LOT of it, especially fish meat

i'm looking for a ranger to hunt with and find samples

anyone interested, and on kettemoor, e-mail me, all my info is in my signature

also anyone who has any input as to how i should go about this, how much i should pay, anything you can think of, feel free to comment

Its nigh impossible to get a ranger on Keet to do anything. I hired 6 people (5 "pure rangers") and only one came back with the hide I needed.. and he was a PvPerwho wanted the armor i madeLOL.

There is a spawn 3k east of the Northern outpost on darthmir, i call it rancor valley and mutants spawn like crazy. Just be careful.

For the meat get a hologrinder (grinding TKM or something brawler) and pay him to harvest meat. Or get someone who is grinding out a combat profession and has scout. Offer to heal him and pay for his buffs while he grinds and you harvest the meat.

As for the fish I haven't thought of a solution other than get some 999 CD metal and have a artisian make some very nice fishing poles. Get some buddies and go fishing hehe. Go to Newbie AH and give out those fishingpoles and pay them to get fish.

Bottom line look for driven people, that should yield best results.

yah most of the meat i've gotten from people have been from friends grinding through combat professions..... like bounty hunter /shrug

also with the rancor thing.... lol finding them is not really the problem, but SAMPLING them is

i've talked to so many actual rangers and none have helped me...... i thought that was the only way rangers could actually make money? please don't tell me all of them are hologrinders

Yah same with me on this server. I finally gave up on it when I wasted 50k (as a prepay to help with travel expenses and buying stimpacks buffs etc..) and the ranger never came back LOL. Ohh yeah finidngrancors isn't the problem LOL! I'm glad I got two friends who arehologrinding like mad

. I support them by giving them money armor and weapons. My chef/BE friend is also in on this he gives em food buffs etc. In turn they give us meat/hide and my chef/BE friend escort protection to milk and sample things LOL. I think eventually you will find the right person or peeps

Seems like the Rangers are tired of working like dogs for little pay,

Our harvest amounts are a joke, Master Scouts get almost as much - and veghash cuts into that a lot.

Mainly we are too busy having fun and doing missions and quests.

Y'all have fun getting resources - you might want to complain to the Devs - then again, their fix was to make a droid about no one will end up using.

i actually found a very helpful ranger from this post

if that's the case (that they feel like working like dogs with little pay) i should probably point out i want more to go on harvest hunts WITH rangers (i have hunting IV) and pay very well for the meat they collect also

as for the droid, i will most likely be using this little guy, and from what i understand, his harvesting capability will be determined by the person using it /shrug

BLARGH! This is exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to do....and I was on Kettemoor. I've probably still got a week or so left on my account, but this wouldn't really have been worth it. However, I did want an excuse to sit around and fish all day. And the escort thing I would've enjoyed too.

JB is right though, bish-work for no pay sucks. Hunting some 20k avian for a measely 20cpu isn't worth it. And that's what most people want to pay, if even that much.
