...The total lack of any talk of new planets on the main site's SE preview? Maybe this is old news, but I am a bummed, bored ranger now. Been a ranger since August, walked every planet a bazillion times, was really looking forward to truly exploring some new worlds, hunting some new creatures, etc.

I noticed ... I'm really looking forward to exploringnew planets.

My assumption is that they're just trying to keep it a secret until nearer the release date. What planets are we hoping to see? What's been rumoured? Hoth would be nice (but you shouldn't be able to build on it), Coruscant (Coronet+, though) ... Any other ideas?

I just hope they announce some new planets soon!

Since they are doing all this new work with jedi....why not Dagobah.

Dagobah would be a great planet but i think should only be accessable by jedi.

Maybe some planet in the dagobah system should be accessable to all. What i would like to see is a planet in the system open up to everyone however by doing certain things on this planet, potential jedi can open up dagobah itself or an area on dagobah, maybe even visit yoda. do quests for him etc.

They have been working on at least another planet since beta... It might have been delayed but I guess they also need to keep a few surprised for us along the way.

So the fact, that they didn't release that information yet doesn't mean there won't be another one.

They did say that there would be quite a few zones of space. I don't see why that wouldn't be enough to explore. Yes, it is not a planet. But it can be so much more. I just hope they give Rangers the ability to take off and land anywhere on the planet (probably with a camp and a couple minute delay). And maybe let us use our tracking skills in space. Following the dust trails and such. It would really make us popular for PvP space battles (surprise the opponent by not needing to start at a space port and making it very difficult to spy and then lead your team straight to the opponents).

yeah nice.

Well from chats from a while back the devs did say there would be new planets and zones so i would expect to see some. They already said their marketing department want to keep most things under wraps until e3 so we cant expect the details coming out.

I personally cant wait, i just hope the part they mensioned about space exploration incorporates the explorer professions and in particularaly rangers .

I think we should have benefits in space aswel as on ground, after all wilderness can be be in the jungle or in the vacum of space and we happen to be the masters of the wilderness (well atleast the ideal is that)

I noticed that there was no mention of new planets. I would have thought that there would be some mention of there being new planets, even if they didn't say which or how many. I also did not notice any mention of new species. I believe both are going to be included in the SE (eveything I have heard points to it) BUT they may add those as hotifxes(?). I bet they are pushing hard to get ships into the game before they worry about the details (anyone remember a game that said EVENTUALLY you can have vehicles, mounts, and player cities?) . FYI, there is no Correspondent info contained in this post, there are only WAG's from a Ranger.

I also noticed a lack of mention about new planets to explore. This has me wondering what exactly our roles as Rangers, is going to play in this new expansion. I wonder if they might be thinking of changing us from master of (supposedly) hunting and harvesting, to more of the Antarian Ranger and their counter part on the Imperial side (forget what their called). I just can not see what we will be doing in these new zones of space.
