Ranger Archive

Frighteningly enough, my template post-Revamp (in theory) will likely look like...Master Rifleman, Master Ranger, Master Scout. In other words, I'm not anticipating changing a thing.

The Master Rifles gives me some firepower, the Master Scout should (in theory) allow me to continue to do just about everything I do now as a Ranger, and the Master Ranger should give me all the new toys to play with...!!!!!

As always, I reserve the right to fiddle with it when the time arrives.

Being at work, I dont have access to a profession calculator..but was thinking of BH with Rifleman Sniper / Pistoleer Stopping and as much Ranger as possible - for the invis side.....

What other templates do people have to mind?

I'ma Ranger / Bounty Hunter and I'm very happy with it. Unless there aresome abilitys thatI think would better support another profession I'm probablygonna stick with this.

*shrug*IfI do change templates It'll most likely beto Master Ranger /Master Commando.

I'm not sure if it'll be any help but Owen made a template guide not so long ago (it provides the stats for the most common professions people use with Ranger)

From my own personal view. I am switching from Master Rifles to Master Carbines.

I am thinking carbines for my own personal taste will mesh alittle better than Rifles will.

For the time being I am keping Master Scout as well. Need to see what the prereqs for Ranger become and how it impacts PvE.

Until we see how we'll gain XP in this new profession I'll hold off on making any for sure decisions, but, for the meantime I think I'll be keeping my MR/MRM and my Ranger/BH/SL comboes.

I will probably keep only the scout skills that are pre-reqs for Ranger.

I am torn between getting some medic skills with the sp's or if I can, some of BH to boost my ranged speed and/or accuracy.

I may be working on Jeidiot by the time it hits live, I will be keeping Ranger, and droping TKM firstas I need the points. I have played Master Ranger/MasterTKA templet from day one.

I do plan on makeing my alt into this as well, but for an old Ranger this will give me the opportunity to play with our new stuff. Maybe take a bold step and try something different *gasp*.

How do you find TKM now? I was TK for quite a while and went back to Rifleman before CU. I'm quite tempted to go back to TK since I could wear my ranger outfit and not worry about the crap armor that Ranger will be getting access to. I hate recon armor. I hope they change that.

I'm just kinda curious how you feel about TK after CU? I found it powerful pre-cu and heard they took a big nerf.

Hi I rem. the name from before, and welcome back. I love TKM allways have allways will. We are not as u66er, l33t, as pre-cu, and most who do it today will tell you it is nothing without another combat profession (Mswordman ftw). I can take any lvl 82misson and solo it with camo. With traps I can pull one critter at a time, and never worry about said critters buddies agro'n me. The trap causes said critter to charge, me which is great since I am 40m away from the lair.

Against faction npc's, pretty much the same thing. I can walk right up in the middle of an imp camp, and lump one target up and his buddies don't even notice. Camo works great for this, even in a group, only one agro at a time is good when you have low lvl trainiees in group, or other support classes whithout the u66er l33t double combat classes.

Calc is better with words, I am just an 'ole country boy, hopefully he will pipe in on this one, he is allso TKM.

i am going to try carbines. they seem to be a well rounded weapon, and good at both short and long range. but in the end who know?

For the dabblers i think ull find that the worthwhile 'stealth' is actually in the masters box so there you are either ranger or your not ?

But then again i could be wrong.
