Calc,
I have not seen it stated whether or not the new Ranger Anti-personnel devices would also work against creatures. For those few of us that were pulling for the Outdoorsman revamp (but will happily support the para-military revamp) it would be nice if these new devices and skills also worked against creatures and not just players and NPC's.
It might not make sense for the devices to allow bio-signature type use against creatures, but being able to set a field of remotely detonated mines for a Gorax would be a nice "olive branch" for the Hunters among us.
What do you think?

I am not entirely sure what they will be able to do. I assume they will damage whatever you can attack with a normal weapon......

Welllll The mines are either proximity mines, which should go off when ANYTHING get near them, timer, which should go off when it runs out, of remote detonated, I assume fiery bits of metal that get shot at things whether it be a player an NPC or a creature WILL actually hurt it

I've asked this question, a few times, but haven't seen an official answer. I'm concerned that the new traps won't work against creatures, just as the old traps won't work against people.

For some reason, I get some rather interesting images with this idea....
On the fields near Coronet, a small group of durni are grazing. One curious critter notices something glinting softly in the morning sun, and hops on over, and takes a careful sniff.
*BOOOOM!!!!*
A ranger drops out of concealment, shaking his head in disappointment as bits of durni litter the countryside. "Hm, not going to get too much meat, hide, or bone out of that one...."

I believe what was stated was that they will work on any "Attackable target"
If you can attack it... a mob's lair, the mod or some npc smuck standing too close, will take an effect from the APD's

I honestly cannot wait to try a Master Scout/Master Ranger/Master Bounty Hunter combo after this. Lay a line of traps leading away from a Krayt. Come out of stealth 45m away, with a couple of darts in-hand. Throw a P-Darts to slow the creature down. Use a lecapine dart to dizzy him. Slow and dizzy, the dragon makes his way to me. Grinning, I wave at him as he slowly walks over a series of mines, each tearing away at his exposed underbelly. As he finally reaches me, I knock his legs out from under him, root him in an adhesive mesh, and put the final critical shot right between his eyeballs.
oh...yeah.

To be honest I had the same dream last night. Only Krayt mush was oozing from the last explosion.
