Thread: Where and what is the best way to grind Trapping in the CU?
Well use today's respect to drop tracking and pick up trapping. Since tracking is far easier to get back.
Think im kidding?
Invest in a cheap equipment factory ![]()
I used pdarts to grind my way up. The effect lasts 15 seconds I think. Once the effect wears off, throw another. Toss another even if the mob doesnt need it. As long as the effect icon is gone, it'll count. If they are still under the effect of the previous one, it wont count. I was able to get 4 pdarts into each fight.
Using the factory saves a lot of time crafting. You can make a crate of 25 stacks of 5 pdarts. I would load up my factory before going to sleep each night. Come back the next day and I'd have gobs and gobs of traps to throw. Just remember to remove enough from the crate before engaging. You cannot pull the traps from the crate while in combat.
Good info on how to use a factory here:

If you are trying to grind trapping I have a major tip for you.
Get a group and do not use a weapon!!!!
Instead... throw 1 trap, peace out,and then let your group kill the target. If you use a weapon it cuts intothe amount of Trap XP, Combat XPand the amount of Weapons XP you gain per kill. Last night I was in a group of 8 killing Bols on Dantooine. I threw 1 trap while they killed the creature and I was getting 5k XP / Bol.
This is all reliant on whether you can land a trap. As Paks and a few others point out there are some issues with landing traps. I personally have not experienced any problems so far but others are experiencing major issues.
Just in case track down some trapping food as well to give you a bonus.
What he said! No weapon, just traps in a group, great trapping xp. (Provided you manage to stick at least 1 trap on it.)
Got the 450k needed for the last ranger trapping box in about 2 to 3 hours last night.
