The other day I was in a group on Yavin hunting tant mites with another Master Ranger and was pulling around 700units per kill, I don't know about solo as I haven't done any serious hunting since the CU solo, it's way quicker hunting with a group

If you're talking about level 80 critters, I get around 500-600 units from each, without veghash and ungrouped. That number goes up if I'm using veghash and grouped (and even more if I'm grouped with another ranger or master ranger), but this is with master ranger harvesting mods. You get a huge increase in your harvesting mods at master ranger now. I'm not sure how much you'd get with just ranger 0040.

There's a downside to this, of course: if you pick up master ranger, you'll lose some of the defense and speed mods that you get from stacking bh with another combat prof., and if you're solo'ing that may increase your kill time, which will in turn increase the time it takes to harvest stuff. But if you can get a group of people hunting, then you'll really clean up because your kill speed will increase and you'll have nice harvesting mods.
