Picked up the Foe of the Gorax badge today but have been unable to get the Krayt one (I think I saw a post earlier in the week that said you'd get one from killing a Krayt) I haven't killed an Ancient one yet but I think I got all the rest. Was hoping not to have to tangle with that boy but is he that one I need for the badge?

you need to kill an Ancient to get the Krayt Hunter badge.Just so you know, you can take it as a group. As long as everyone in the group hits it once, they'll get the badge as well. I think that also applies to if you hit it once with a trap, but I cant guarantee that.

Me and Lythender killed two of the big boyslast night, along with a slew of adolescents and grands by ourselves.

The trick is to use the proper trap a LOT. if you need help knowing what the proper trap is, send me a PM.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Thanks, didn't really want to mess with the Ancient but I guess I'll give it a shot. Ah and traps.... well I think I know which ones since this message boards seems alive with conversation about them today. Thanks again.

couple more tricks, if you have the ability to use them-

if you have a bleed, use it. It'll slow their regen, meaning you won't have to do the same damage over and over again.

make it dizzy. If you have BH, use the advanced concussion shot, which stuns and dizzys them (and looks wickedly cool on animals as big as the Krayt. If not, use Lecapine darts. Being dizzy drops their defense, making their defenses drop.

again, remember, if you can't take it solo, bring a group and you'll all get the badge.

Yawn -

Solo'd 5 Krayts this morning. Two ancients, two juvies, one grand and the loot was crap. One decent set of tissues.

Unless and until they fix p darts, the hardest part of soloing a krayt is getting the Health down low enough. Use L darts to dizzy and your shots hit for more. Use chef food to get your regen rates up so you can shoot faster. And as always, a probot helper is a Godsend, as they continually shoot and that wears the Health down.

Thanks for the advice guys, got the badge. Took awhile to solo him but I'm still impressed that we can. Killed over a dozen Krayts including 2 Ancients and no tissues at all.... Hate that but Love the badge!
