I didn't play with the respec feature while it was available. Now there is one last time... Do I take the plunge and go MBH?

What would be the advantage over Master Rifleman, other than the Skill Points left over?

advantage: states

disadvantage: less weapon specific accuracy, speed, loss of snipershotand Aim.

Advantage, left over points for FS stuff if you want/need/desire that. And/or add some levels in marksman to your favorite weapon.

Frankly, Advanced scatters rock - I am hitting some stuff for over 1000 pts a shot. I solo Krayts, Kimos and Katarns. I would solo the rest of the alphabet too, lol.

1000 a shot? Oh crepe... I only get 1900's if I use improved headshot on stuff. (I really, really wanted to say 2k per shot, but I think I dropped a speed mod or three in that last last last respec)

I went MBH/MR for a little during the respecs but I really missed my T21, even though my Adv. Laser does about 30% more damage. The proton carbine was nice, but it just didn't have that BA-BOOOOOM sound

It was nice having a few SP left to put into other things tho...

Well I took the plunge and dropped master Rifles for Master Bounty hunter.

I do miss the 3500 Advanced Sniper shots from my T21.

MBH takes alittle longer but states make up for it. I was getting bored with Sniper shot, startle shot, kneecap over and over.

After a year of Master Rilfes it was time for a change.

If cover would have been more useful I might have kept Master Riflemen.

I used the last respec to do exactly this too. Got MBH and the whole carbines line in marksman. Duelist's stance and the various other specials seem to work well. I think my T-21 was just decent so my damage is actually up a little with the proton carbine. So far so good.

Thought about it..looked at all the possible combinations of Master Ranger with squad leader and bounty hunter...and a bit of carbine..decided I was totally nuts to even consider it and stayed MBH, MCarbineer - I haven't missed a single ranger skill since I respec'd out of it during the open respec period....not one. Makes me sad, but why fight it?

(I couldn't come up with a single MRanger template that didn't involve losing close to 100pts each of melee/ranged defense and accuracy..pathetic)

I also made the jump to MBH. I do miss the speed I had as a master rifleman, but I'm getting by okay. Really digging advanced critical and underhand shot. And those npc bounties are a hoot. If I could score some rifle/general speed attachments, everything'd be shiny.

I'm also debating between BH and Rifleman for my Ranger Template.....

BH has a lot going for it, better tanking abilities, better variety of specials, the ability to do bounty missions for cash (the npc missions are worth 30k so even if you never hunt Jedi you can make decent cash).

Rifleman has the T21, more weapon specific mods, sniper shot, cover...

If I didn't have a BH on another server it would be an easy decision but part of me wants some variety, but the other part of me is worried I will regret it once I can't respec anymore.

Sinper shot is great, but not really something you can rely on a lot. As for the T-21, I never used one even as a master rifleman. It was easy enough to find a better laser. My accuracy is much lower now, but I don't seem to be missing any more than I used to. Speed's really the only problem. I went from 85 speed as a master rifleman to 60 (45 general ranged speed and 15 rifle speed) from MBH, novice SL, and marksman rifles 3. Still using the same laser rifle.

OK, reading the note on the launchpad... can I respec as many times as I want after I log in but before I log out?

Hopefully I'd be able to try MBH, then if I don't like it, go back to MRifleman, then log to have my template "the same as before".

Or is there still the 12 hr "cool down timer" for respec?

QFE. They dropped the ball on the wording of that announcement.

You have one more respec, not one more day of respecs (as the announcement implied).
