I know the shock resistance and overall quality were 900+ 600+, any guides or suggestions on what to hunt, where to sell, who to sell too?

One of the main things I can suggest is to keep an eye on your server's trade forums for people offering contracts for resources that rangers can get. Also it might not hurt to make a post on your server's trade forumsabout a ranger for hire as that can sometimes help generate business as well.

If you have a good hatred for Jedi, head to Kashyyk and offer your services to Bounty Hunters who need Jedi tracked. They'll be appreciative, I assure you.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

You can put yourself for hire forfor people needing trackers. Some people want to hunt certain big animals that are hard to find. And one profession actually needs to kill those for a quest.

(Some other*cough* huntersmight wanna hire you to do a job on a certain planet to hunt for xxxx.)

I suggest putting your skills and their prices per hour or cpu in your character's biography.

Also, if I were you I would ask a Tailor to factory crate some fiberplast panels for you, that have your in game name in them, including your harvesting abilities and services. Then, offer one at each chef / bio-engineer vendor you come across.

I gotta jump in on this one.

My greatest tool for dough is swgcraft.com. When I find a good spawn on your server, I let my crafters know. I have relationships with BEs, chefs, tailors, weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, etc. This Friday I found a good spawn of carnivore meat on my server. I've been selling it to my chef friends all weekend.

By Sunday afternoon, I had made over 6 million credits in two days.

You have to create relationships with crafters on your server and watch out for them.

Yeah swgcraft.com is good, just make sure that nothing else you yourself go out and verify the accuracy of the spawns listed once in awhile. On Chimaera we've been slacking off a bit and I want to say that there was a resource listed as being in shift for almost 2 months when in fact it had shifted out a little over a month ago.

Here's what I did to make my fortunes

Ask around, and find out who the top Chefs, Armorsmiths, and Bio-Engineers on the server are. Most players on a specific server will name the same 3 or 4 crafters. Send them emails, and ask to be added to their resource gatherer lists. I had 2 or 3 chefs, and 3 or 4 armorsmiths send me emails as soon as a great new resource spawns in, and they'd tell me how much they want, and what price they'll pay me.

If you're guilded, ask any crafters in your guild. if you're unguilded, look into joining a guild. they are great ways to make friends, and business contacts.

check your server's trade forum for offers to buy resources. also make a post advertising your services

all of these tips should hopefully help you start getting steady contracts.

Another tip, (not quite as good as those above, but....) Go to major starports (Coronet, Theed, Mos Eisley, etc...) on occasion, someone will be spamming requests for certian resouces, and what they're willing to pay, and where to drop it off.

Yes, good pont about verification of the spawns. Nothing will make you look like a bigger dolt than telling someone a spawn is good when it is not. swgcraft will tell you when the stats on that spawn were reported and verified. If it has been like nine days, it's possible it's still good, but you better haul your butt over to Lok/Dathomir/Talus/wherever and check it out for yourself.

I have not found guild contacts to be good for making money. There is a sense of community in a guild and people sort of expect you to pitch in free or discounted resources for the good of the guild. If you want to do this, that's fine. I would RECOMMEND that you do this once in a while for the good of your guild. After all, why did you join the guild in the first place? The crafters in your guild may be able to refer you to other crafters, but they may not be a good source of cash.

I have not seen people spamming in starports looking for resources since before the CU. This may pick up again as people get settled into the CU, but right now it seems dead.

Another tip: wear your Master Ranger tag. I've had people stop me recently and offer me work because of it. Never hurts. We are rare and dedicated and we should show it off.

And yes, ask crafters you see around to be added to their hunting lists. If they discover a good spawn before you do they will send you an email and sponsor a hunt.

Good Luck.
