it seems when you split a stack of resources of any kind there is a bug that doesnt change the size of the stack. If you take a 4k stack and take 1.5k off of it, it will still say 4k in the examine window but the icon will show 2k for 1 stack and 1k for the other. This might create an issue with resources on the vendors. Haven't checked that yet being I'm very far north on endor attempting to solo a gorax with the fixed pdart and my rifle only.

Yup. Another one that was reported in detail on TC. /shrug
I also found a similar display problem with some stacks of resources tha twere already in my inventory, unsplit. At the icon it'd say, for example, 750 units. On the info panel, 630. Try crafting with it and it treats it as the lower quantity.

I'm having this problem while hunting. I had a stack of 48,400 when I started, harvested a few creatures, and the number on the stack icon went up to 49k. Examined the stack, and it still read 48,400. However, when I split the stack into 1 unit, and all the rest, it allowed me to do this, and then displayed the proper number. (minus the one unit I had to split off)

I've had this problem, but if I check back again after a few seconds, it's updated itself. Some sort of lag between the time you /examine and the time it updates.

I just split the stack to maximum, and move the 1 unit left into the new stack.

I noticed it last night as I added some processed hide into an existing stack. It went from a 47k stack to 100k plus some extra. The 100k stack said 47k in the examine window, but displayed 100k. I played with the stacks to wipe the bug to no avail. The server has reset since then, I'll check it out when I get home from work.

Also if you select disconnect and then reconnect immediately after the stack sizes will be listed correctly at that particular moment. I think traveling by shuttle or spaceship had the same effect.
