For the last few days the hides from a dewback have had a OQ of 17. I figured ok maybe bad luck on my part....but just now....i kill one and it said that " The creature did not have any intact harvestable rescources".
now I am using a pistol and the creature was 2 CL higher than I was. Has anyone else been having this problem? Because the OQ of our traps are affected by the OQ of the ingredients used. Which means that yes our traps are fixed but if you get the message that I got you cant get any rescources from the creature to make the traps
This affects our money. We sell the rescources that we harvest and if this keeps up then we will be broke because we will have nothing to sell.
I've gotten this message before just as the resource was shifting. Wait a little bit of time, and the next one you kill may have the newly spawned resource. Might even be possible that it will be higher than 17OQ

As Carason said, the resource is shifting. As for 17 OQ, that happens. I saw Lokian Avian meat go from 990 OQ and 800 PE (almost 100% perfect for pre CU Med crafting) to 500 OQ and 6 PE. Basically, crappy resources happens.
i've got that beat Calc. i'm using 9 OQ Dantooine Herb meat for part of my chef grind on my crafter.

Nope didnt work. I went to another mission lair and same problem....so I killed another creature and took the meat. This it gave me (normal stats). SO I try again on another creature....nope same message. I delete the mission and find a wild lair. Same issue.
I remember in another thread...not looking for it in search..that someone made a suggestion on reducing the OQ of the harvested rescources with the type of weapon. I believe it was a suggestion to get rid of Super Scouts. Im only CL58 and the cratures from the mission are CL60 and I use a pistol. How am i to get good quality rescources if my weapon is destroying the rescource. I am not about to give up SL and go TK just so that i can get scouting xp....that is just dumb and starting all over again.
The other hides that I have before this nerf took affect are fine....just any new hides that I get. Im going to try a different planet...to see but as Han said...." I have a bad feeling about this"
When a resource spawns (Tatooinian Reptile Meat, in the example of Dewbacks), it will be available for a certain amount of time (14 days, as an example, seems to vary by resource type and planet, or maybe just random). When it shifts to a new version of TatooinianReptile Meat, it will take the server a while to generate the new name and stats... I've seen this take a while, possibly an hour or more. If you kill an animal and try and harvest it during this time, you will get that error message about "no harvestable intact resources". You just have to wait out the resource shift. You WILL be able to harvest other types of resources from that creature during this time, because it's highly unlikely that the Hide is on the same spawn cycle.
As far as damage being done to the creature affecting the Overall Quality (or any other stats for that matter), I've seen some discussions about it, but unless they slipped something in that I do not know about, you can NEVER change the default stats of a resource. If the random stat generator rolls an OQ of 17 when they create the spawn, that's what it will be for the next 14 days (or whatever number of days). Bringing it down with a series of kicks vs. using a rocket launcher on it has no impact on the stats of the item. Creature level vs. your combat level have no impact either.

The resource you were after shifted. When a resource shifts, the resource with that stats your were used to cellecting ceases to exist and new resource EVENTAULLY appears in it's place. In the time between the the disappearance of the old resource and the appearance of the new resource, you get the no intact resources message. This is how it has been for 2 years now. Why do you think that there are different kinds of resources with different stats?
Because the OQ of our traps are affected by the OQ of the ingredients used.
by the way, this is also untrue.
the only thing affected by quality of resource is our camo kits, which we can experiment on for number of uses.
