I have a Ranger that switched from Novice 2handed swords to Carbine but now I am considering again switching...this time to rifle.

Are there any ranger/carbine types out there and if so how are you doing?

I am Ranger, about halfway up to master. I am also a Master Marksman and a Novice Carbineer. The actionshot lets me solo things pretty effectively. Although I haven't found a really good carbine yet, I have been having a pretty good time with it. My EE3 carbine is still far more effective than my laser rifle. The only issue is if you like throwing traps, the sharp spur and the noise maker (and the later ranger traps) all attack the mind pool. The only trap we have that attacks the action pool is the adhesive mesh which only comes out in lots of 2 and is quite expensive to make (although very effective).

im a ranger/CH/carbineer

the carbine works quite well with the new close proximity to the creature nerf. i just got novice carbineer tonight. i just gotta go train it. :-)

Rifle makes sense for Rangers but I have done well as a Carbineer. I have ventured too far into it to switch now.

I've got carbineer and creature handler. I was going to also get into Bountry Hunter, but I don't think I'll have enough points to effectively do this, so I think I might go for Ranger. I hope I can accomplish this.

Ranger/Novice Carbineer here and am loving it. Action Shot 2 rocks!
