Thread: Problem with the Field Base F/C Crafting Station
So I made Frontiering II last night and I immediately went to try out the Food/Chem station that was in the Field Base camp. However, I noted that I am unable to make Stim D's (I have up to Adv Doctors med crafting skill), yet I can make everything I have avaiable in the doctors crafting tree. So I still have to yank out my droid to make stim D's.
Anyone else have this problem?
yes. all the high level meds seem to need a droid even though you are standing at a crafting station. my friend needed a droid to craft enhancements the other day because the f/c station wasn't giving the ability. oh, it would let you experiment, but that seems to be all.
i have no idea if the weapon/droid station suffers from a similar problem. does anyone?
well, i can make all my higher level meds in the doctors crafting tree (I don't know about the top two tiers), and everything at the master medic level EXCEPT Stim D's. It is just odd.
I think I know why....
The camps have a PUBLIC crafting stn in them... A droid has a PRIVATE crafting stn....I would love NRaas to ask the DEVS to switch this in camps though... It should be a PRIVATE stn, since the theory is the Rangers are a always away form a true home. Worse case, allow for 2 camps, one with PRIVATE, one with PUBLIC stns to be constructed...
That it probably why.. Can you create Stim D's at a public stn in town? Not sure, hence the question... if not, then the above hypothesis answers your question...

Some crafting items like the Stimpack D's require a private crafting station. The camps have public crafting stations.

I think the Droid Engineers need all the help they can get.
My suggestion is purchase a Droid yourself (that is what I did), they are very handy.
