Ranger Archive

I just made novice Ranger yesterday and I tried out the area tracking skill. It worked great in listing the animals that were in the area (including droids)but maybe I misunderstand how it completely works.

When the list of animals that are in the area come up, I thought that I could click on one and I would be pointed in the direction of where it is (like a waypoint arrow). However, it did not.

Please help me fully understand this skill and how it works.

Nope....no Waypoints. As you get up in skill your max distance will go up..and you will be able to track NPC's and PC's in game. You get 500 m for the max range. And you will get feedback as to what you are looking for (animals, players, npc's) based on what is near by.

Now...a skill that is coming is the /Track skill this will allow you to search for a specific creature and it should gives us that waypoint you are looking for.
