Yes.

The area track is limited to about 500m and will show you what is within that radius, so if you can't find what you are looking for you still have to run around and keep using areatrack.

BUT, just because you have areatrack doesn't mean you will find what you are looking for.

I ran around Tat last night trying to find some bocatt's but never did, even with areatrack.

I'm at work, so I don't know what the exact skill is called, but I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. Does area track and direction find (I think that's what they're called) do anything to help you find an animal? For example, you take a hunting mission and have to kill 45 female Kaaduus on Naboo, but there aren't any listed in the destroy missions. Will these skills help you to find the 45 animals you need to kill?
