Thread: Camo Kits...Are they working?
"I use maskscent exclusively now, and it works pretty well for me."
When the developers fixed /maskscent, they fixed /conceal as well. ![]()
There are still problems with humanoid NPCs ignoring /conceal, so using the skill on yourself is rather pointless (/maskscent is just as good without the expense).
However, /conceal works very well for concealing my travel companion who does not have /maskscent.
"Know if there were any unstated updates to Camo after this patch"
Only the change where it no longer drops during combat...
- Beyond that I am not aware of any changes.
You know, the more posts I read about /conceal, the more mysterious it seems in my eyes. I started using it when I first got wayfaring I, which wasn't until I had the whole tracking tree completed, and I've got to say, I love it! I haven't had any problems with it not working against npcs. I walked up to a pair of nightsisters using a conceal kit I bought on the dath bazaar, and slapped one in the face. However, I've herad of a lot of people not having any luck at all against npcs. My conceal rarely breaks, though. Granted, I'm a bothan, but I was at wayfaring I when I tried this. So I don't really know what the deal is.
I find camo kits to be excellent, myself. But it seems like it might almost depend on how you use it and what your needs are. So I'd recommend making a kit or two and trying it out.
