<surrenders all his Artisan skills, including Novice Artisan>
I can't resist the call any longer. The only thing that was holding me back was my Artisan skills (I make a pretty good living off 'em), but with the new patch my ability to make money from selling animal resources has skyrocketed.
However, lest you think I'm going Master Ranger for sheer crass commercialism, nothing could be farther from the truth. I am training up to Tracking IV for sheer crass commercialism. The rest of it is because the class appeals to me in a fundamental way.
Me, and my exhast manifold from a '72 Buick (aka my T21), alone in the wilderness, exploring, fishing, hunting, and generally making a nuisance of myself to Mother Nature. Awww yeah.

I agree. I have a Master Merchant on another server and when it was down one day, I jumped on Kettemoor and created a character. Was going to be a Carbineer, but I picked up scout one day and started killing animals wholesale. I remember building my first camp. That was the point that I wanted to be a Ranger.
That and the fact that we can be truly independent for most of our travels. I love that. ![]()
Now if I can just track down enough Bolle bols, I can have tracking IV tonight!
