Good news is I raced someone on a mount and gave them a good run for there money. Fellow Ranger, stry race someone on therir mount and see how you far. It's kind of fun. hehe

no we lose our terrain negotian when mounted, it does not add up.

but on the other hand we are just as fast as a couple of mounts. and the mount in mountains are very slow. so rangers will still own the mountain travel. we can still feel very special on dathomir.

I say since we do get Terrain Negation, and we are RANGERs after all, we should be more skilled then other professions in riding and controlling mounts.

has anyone tried rodeoing their mount? no, i dont mean hog tieing it. i found you can /dismount to get off and with the animal targeted /mount to get on. I havent tried to do this while moving though. If i can /dismount when i hit the base of a mountain, run up it real fast and then /mount when i hit the top, that would solve several land speed issues.

would be kinda fun to roleplay that, like from the old western movies when the cowboy needs to make a quick escape. he calls his horse and as it runs by he reaches out and grabs the bridle which flings him up on the animals back.

Hopefully I'll be getting my mount tonight...

... but when I tried them out on TestServer, it was fun to put /mount and /dismount on hotkeys...
